Bibhas is a full time Fellowship trained Specialist Shoulder and Elbow surgeon working in Manchester University Foundation Trust. He was appointed in 2006. His clinical practice is now largely complex and revision work.
During his higher surgical training, he completed a master’s degree in bioengineering with Leeds University and also holds a diploma in medical informatics.
His interest in health technology has meant various roles and projects in his career, and the HSJ, named him a top NHS innovator in its first ever list of top NHS innovators in 2013.
He has been working with Virtual Care for Orthopaedics and rehabilitation for over 10 years. In partnership with Manchester Metropolitan University, he has completed projects in VR/AR and was recently invited to give the keynote presentation at 9th International
XR-Metaverse Conference in Busan, South Korea.
